Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find the recomendation of types and dosages of goat biourine on potassium uptake and growth of soybean on Ultisol. This research was conducted from February to October 2021 at the Greenhouse, Department of Soil, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Soil analysis was carried out at the Laboratory of Chemistry, Biology, and Soil Fertility, Department of Soil, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study was carried out using factorial completely randomized design (FCRD), consisting of 4 types and 3 doses of biourine, namely : P1 (pure biourine without decomposer), P2 (biourine + moles of banana hump decomposer), P3 (biourine + moles of goat feces decomposer), P4 (biourine + EM4 decomposer), D1 (100 ml dose), D2 (200 ml dose), D3 (300 ml dose). Overall there were 12 treatments which were repeated 4 times, P0D0 was the control so that there were 52 polybags of plants. The results of this study showed that the application of biourine + EM4 gave the highest results on potassium uptake and gross weight, while biourine + banana hump gave the highest results on dry weight. Those are optimum with 200 ml dosage application. The application of 200 ml dosage biourine can give the highest results on gross weight of soybeans, dry weight of soybeans, and potassium uptake of soybean plants which is optimum with the application of biourine + EM4 and banana hump type. The use of biourine + EM4 or biourine + banana hump with a dose of 200 ml is good for maximizing soybean cultivation on Ultisol soils, but to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers it is recommended to use biourine + banana hump with a dose of 200 ml and further research is needed on the administration of biourine on Ultisol soils.
