Abstract

ABSTRACK Children who are supposed to enjoy childhood, survival, growth and development must become victims of violent crimes. To overcome the problem of child violence, Indonesia ratified the United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child (UNCRC) or what is often known as the Convention on the Rights of the Child. UNCRC was ratified in 1989 through a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly and then ratified by the state of Indonesia on September 5, 1990 based on Presidential Decree No. 36/1990. As a form of compliance with the international regime, Indonesia ratified Law No. 23/2002 on Child Protection. UNCRC as an instrument in fulfilling the rights of children around the world. This study aims to see and understand the extent of Indonesia's compliance with the United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child (UNCRC) and to understand Indonesia's compliance with the regime. The method used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative method. This can help researchers to see the level of Indonesia's compliance with the international regime in protecting child violence in 2019-2020. Researchers also use secondary data which in this case can be obtained through literature studies and documentation obtained indirectly. This was done in helping researchers complete this research. The results of this study show how in looking at compliance, it must meet the output, outcomes and impact indicators. When these indicators are met, the level of Indonesian compliance with the United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child will be seen at the level of passive compliance because it can be seen how Indonesia carries out the commitments and agreements based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
