Abstract

Background: Violent behavior is a response to a stressor with uncontrolled motor movements so that they can take actions that can be physically harmful, both to themselves and others. Complementary therapy in the form of positive affirmations is positive thoughts that can influence the subconscious to increase energy and positive perception Aim: Describe and explain the application of nursing care to patients with violent behavior and positive affirmation relaxation therapy according to evidence based. Method: Using descriptive qualitative methods with a case study approach Result: The main nursing problem is the risk of violent behavior. Based on the results of the assessment, the three patients said that they often had a tantrum, broke things, and injured themselves and others. The end result of the implementation is that the patient is able to control anger with the strategy of implementing the modality therapy that has been given. Disclussion: Based on the results of these studies, the authors establish a nursing diagnosis, namely the risk of violent behavior. The method is done by providing generalist nursing actions by identifying the risk of violent behavior, how to control anger with physical exercise, taking medication regularly, verbally by saying kind words to others and teaching spiritually and modality therapy in the form of positive affirmations to reduce stress. violent behavior. Conclusion: Positive affirmation relaxation therapy can control anger and reduce anxiety
