Abstract

Dengue Virus Infection (IVD) is a disease caused by dengue virus that is transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegepty and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. This research used two kinds of Cluster analysis; ward method and complete linkage method aims to categorize the types of fever itself which caused by some factors influencing IVD. This research used secondary data that were 87 samples of patients with IVD in 2016. Furthermore, from both methods determined the best method using the standard deviation ratio value. The cluster results showed that Ward Methods formed 2 clusters with standard deviation ratio value of 1,20 while for Complete Linkage Method formed 3 clusters with a standard deviation ratio value of 0.44. Based on the results obtained, the best method of both methods is the Complete Linkage Method with a smaller standard deviation ratio value and forming 3 clusters including: there were 7 patients who were affected by DBD Grade II fever due to IVD factors affecting it, which are Occupation, Complication, Platelet levels and length of hospitalization. Besides, in Cluster 2 the dominant variable is the patient domicile variable that compared with other variables. Furthermore, for cluster 3, there were 56 patients with DSS fever type and the factors that influence the occurrence are Sex, Age, patient domicile, Hematocrit Level and Hemaglobin Level.
