Abstract
This research is conducted to find out the primary productivity of phytoplankton, environment parameter involve light intencity, temperature, pH, DO, BOD, phytoplankton abundance and correlation between primary productivity and enviroment parameter at Retarding Basin of Palembang City and its contribution for senior high school biology’s studies. Sampling was done in january 2022. Measurement of phytoplankton’s primary productivity is using dark and light bottle oxygen method. This research is using descriptive method, observation location is determined by using purposive sampling, and sampling is using composite technique. At station 1 has the characteristics that there are floating net cages and station 2 has an inlet in the form of landfills. Measurement results shown primary productivity at station 1 is 562 mgC/m3/day and station 2 is 249,8 mgC/m3/day. The difference between 2 station is enviroment parameter effect. Based on PCA analysis parameter that relate positively to NPP value is BOD, brightness, and pH, while parameter that relate negatively to NPP value is DO, temperature, and phytoplankton abundance. Based on primary productivity, Retarding Basin Of Griya Buana Indah II has middle fertility rate (mesotrophic). The research result were donated in form of LKPD at base competence 3.10 analyzing ecosystem components and interaction between them at Senior High School’s Biology subject for X Grade.
