Abstract

This study discusses "Implementation of the Poverty Reduction Program through Social Assistance in Parit Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency". The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the implementation of poverty reduction programs through social assistance in Parit Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research method that was used in this research was descriptive qualitative research method. Types and sources of the data obtained through primary data and secondary data with the techiques of collecting the data by using observation, interviews and documentation. This study used the concept of social development implementation strategy from Tjokrowinoto. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of poverty reduction through social assistance in Parit Village is carried out based on predetermined provisions, there are three active assistance programs in Parit Village, namely BLT assistance, PKH assistance, BPNT assistance, village officials play an active role in helping the central government distribute social assistance to the poor, besides that the village officials also cover the poor who are not reached by the central government by using village funds, but it is necessary to increase the role of facilitators so that the productivity of the recipients can also increase and able to socialize and streamline the distribution of social assistance to poor communities/families who receive the assistance.
