Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the international regime, namely ACFTA, which is an international regime consisting of member countries of ASEAN and China which regulates market liberalization and reduces tariffs and non-tariff trade. Through the existing policies in ACFTA, it will describe how the Indonesia-China trade cooperation, especially in the CPO sector in 2014-2019, is well established or not, which this study describes in detail about the problems faced by Indonesia after the enactment of ACFTA in 2010. also uses the type of qualitative research and the type of library study data in the form of journals, web, books and other relevant data. This study uses Mitchell's theory of regime effectiveness which uses three indicators, namely output, outcome and impact. According to this theory, a regime will be effective if the three indicators are positive. The results of this study are ACFTA is an effective regime in overcoming the non-oil and gas trade of CPO Indonesia-China, this is evidenced by the positive output, outcome and impact where the output in this study is a market liberalization policy and a reduction in import duty rates of 0%. while the outcome is in the form of Indonesia-China compliance by adopting ACFTA regulations as a domestic policy for the two countries and for the impact, namely increasing the value of CPO exports and the positive quality of Indonesia-China Cooperation.
