Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of physical condition of the Bhayangkara Sriwijaya FC football team in preparation for the third league of South Sumatra Province in 2022. This type of research is quantitative descriptive using survey methods. The population in this study was the Bhayangkara Sriwijaya FC football team, which consisted of 30 players, where the average age of the players was 20-24 years, so the sample selection was used with a cluster sampling technique of 20 players. The data collection technique in this study was using a survey method with test measurements. The research instrument in this study used a 12-minute running test (cooper test). The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive data analysis, namely presenting the results obtained from the test norm. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the level of physical condition of the Bhayangkara Sriwijaya FC football team was in the sufficient category with a relative frequency of 45% totaling 9 people. This is followed by the very poor category with a relative frequency of 5% totaling 1 person. In the less category with a relative frequency of 10%, there are 2 people. In the very good category with a relative frequency of 10%, there are 2 people. In the very good category with a relative frequency of 30%, there are 6 people. The findings in this study, the physical condition of the Bhayangkara Sriwijaya FC football team was included in the sufficient category with a relative frequency of 45% totaling 9 people. The implication of this study is to determine the physical condition of soccer athletes so that they can improve and develop better physical conditions to achieve good performance during the three league matches of South Sumatra Province.
