Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of the metacognitve skills of class XI students in digestive system material in Senior High School Ogan Ilir Recency. This research is a descriptive study with survey research methods. Data collection was conducted in february- march 2022. The technique of determining samples using proportional stratified random sampling. This research was conducted in five high schools in Tanjung Batu, namely Senior High School Number 1 Ogan Ilir , Senior High School Number 9 Ogan Ilir, Senior High School Number 10 Ogan Ilir, Senior High School Number 16 Ogan Ilir, Senior High School Number 22 Ogan Ilir . Data collection techniques used were written test techniques with essay questions with reasons amount 5 items, questionnaire, observation and interviews. The results showed that students metacognitive skills on digestive material in Ogan Ilir recency well developed category metacognitive skills. This can beseen from the percentage of the value, namely the developed verry well category shows 35,29% of students, 40,64% of students have a well developed category, 14,97% of students start to developed category and 9,09% of students have a do not developed category. The indicator of metacognitive skills shows that most students have the skills to planning with a percentage of 79,76%. While at the lowest category, evaluating with apercentage of 75,73%.
