Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry dengan hands on minds on activity terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih. Maka penelitian yang akan dilakukan peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih dengan menggunakan sampel kelas VIII.4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelas control. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inquiry dengan hands on minds on activity mempunyai pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis uji paired samples t test diatas, dapat diketahui bahwa nilai Thitung hitung yang didapat yaitu sebesar 28,525. Harga Thitung ini kemudian dengan Ttabel. Untuk menentukan harga Ttabel, terlebih dahulu menentukan signifikansi (α = 0,05). Kemudian menentukan harga dk = n – 2 = 30 – 2 = 28, maka didapatkan harga tabel yaitu sebesar 2,048. Karena │ Thitung │ > ttabel yaitu 28,525 > 2,048, Ho ditolak dan Hα diterima. Jadi, berdasarkan Thitung dapat disimpukan bahwa ada Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Inquiri dengan hands on minds on activity Terhadap Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih.
