Abstract

Designing the optimal route for waste transportation problems often uses the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) model. Simulated Annealing (SA) is one part of the random search method that utilizes several probability theories to be able to achieve minimum results from an optimization problem. Semambu Island Village consists of 6 hamlets which have 12 Temporary Disposal Sites (TDS) and 1 Final Disposal Site (FDS), where every 2 hamlets are formed into 1 Working Area (WA) so that each WA has 4 TDS and only has one garbage transport vehicle with a maximum carrying capacity of 4 tons. Which aims to be able to apply the SA method to the VRP model in optimizing waste transportation routes in each WA Semambu Island Village, then analyze and compare the results that have been obtained using Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) with the LINGO 13.0 application. So that the final result of the optimal route includes For WA 1 the distance obtained is 13.46 km with the transportation route, namely FDS Palem Raya – TDS 2 Hamlet 1 – TDS 1 Hamlet 1 – TDS 2 Hamlet 2 – TDS 1 Hamlet 2 – FDS Palem Raya, For WA 2 the distance obtained is 16.20 km with the transportation route, namely FDS Palem Raya – TDS 2 Hamlet 5 – TDS 1 Hamlet 5 – TDS 2 Hamlet 4 – TDS 1 Hamlet 4 – FDS Palem Raya and For WA 3 the distance obtained is 15.97 km with the transportation route, namely FDS Palem Raya – TDS 2 Hamlet 6 – TDS 2 Hamlet 3 – TDS 1 Hamlet 3 – TDS 1 Hamlet 6 – FDS Palem Raya.
