Abstract

This study aims to Analyze 1) The flow of Rice Turnover and calculate the volume of rice inventory at the merchant level in Baturaja City. 2) The effect of Rice Stock on rice price expectation. 3) Composition of rice at the trader level according to two levels of quality of rice (medium and premium). 4) The amount of profit from the sale of rice traders in the city of Baturaja. The study was conducted from March 2018 to May 2018. The method used was survey method and incidental method by collecting 20 samples consisting of 5 wholesalers and 15 retailers. Processed data are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected by direct interviews to rice business owners. For secondary data obtained from various literatures and baturaja city service. The results showed that in Kota Baturaja consists of four types of marketing channels involving producers, wholesalers, retailers and consumers, the average stock of rice at the trader level is about 1,496 Ton per month and 17,954 Ton per year in 2017. With percentage 89% medium rice and 11% premium rice. Stock of medium and premium rice has no significant effect on the expectation of selling price with R2 value of 0,515 and 0,062 respectively. The composition of rice at the trader level in Kota Baturaja is dominated by rice with medium quality of 89% of the total rice supply. The profit of rice traders in the city of Baturaja averaged Rp 124,315,214 for wholesalers and Rp 11,505,107 for retailers per month.
