Abstract

This study aims to analyze and identify the factors that influences the number of poor people in the five poorest provinces in Indonesia. This study uses time series data from 2002-2020. The method used in this reserach is panel data regression analysis. The variables used in the study are the number of poor people, GDP growth according to ADHK, labor force participation rate, life expectancy and average length of schooling. The results showed that the variable GRDP growth according to ADHK and the variable life expectancy had a negative but not significant effect and the average length of schooling variable had a positive but significant effect in the five poorest provinces in Indonesia.
