Abstract

Prediksi pasang surut merupakan proses menganalisis dan menentukan tingginya pasang surut sungai yang akan datang. Efek yang disebabkan oleh perubahan pasang surut ini mempunyai dampak yang sangat besar terhadap alur transportasi air di sungai yang sering sekali digunakan untuk angkutan barang, orang, dan pariwisata. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Wavelet dan Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN) untuk memprediksi pasang surut di Sungai Musi. Tahapan prediksi yang dilakukan yaitu data didekomposisi menggunakan Wavelet, prediksi menggunakan BPNN, kemudian denormalisasi terhadap hasil prediksi untuk mendapatkan nilai normal. Hasil prediksi memiliki akurasi rata-rata mencapai 97,7% per bulan.
