Abstract

Coal on Pit Pule is classified into hard material and must be dismantled (ripping) first before loading (loading). In the pit is used bulldozer KOMATSU D155 with ripper as ripping tool and excavator backhoe KOMATSU PC400 as a loading tool. Bulldozer bulldozing of coal is very important and has an impact on the need for a backhoe excavator in loading coal into the conveyance. In this pit itself there is often a technical problem on dismantling of bulldozer coal which is available as a ripping tool which will serve the digging tool often improved, thus causing the lack of effective road jam for the bulldozer. The impact of bulldozers that do not work much is the inadequacy of coal loading production by excavator backhoe. Bulldozers are provided to assist the process of dismantling the material with ripping and mining in the mining area there are two units. Pit Pule coal production target PT. Dizamatra Powerindo in April 2016 amounted to 120,576 tons. Coal production is influenced by the productivity of digging tools, loading tools, and conveyance equipment in coal mining. If the production of digging tools has not reached the production target, then the production of loading and hauling equipment will be difficult to achieve the coal production target. This is the background of research on the performance evaluation of Excavator Backhoe KOMATSU PC400 and Bulldozer KOMATSU D155 in coal excavation to meet production targets at Pit Pule at PT.
