Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot. This research was conducted at experimental station of Agricultural Faculty of Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This research was started from August until October 2017. The design that used in the research was factorial random block design. The first factor: was organic fertilizer, consisted of 3 levels, that were : O0: control, O1: chicken manure 100 g polybag -1, O2: cow dung manure 100 g polybag -1. The second factor was inorganic fertilizer consisted of 4 levels, namely: M1: 25% of NPK fertilizer (0.75 g polybag -1), M2: 50% of NPK fertilizer (1.5 g polybag -1), M3: 75% of NPK fertilizer (2.25 g polybag -1), M4: 100% of NPK fertilizer (3 g polybag -1). For each combination treatment repeated three times with those was consisted of 5 polybags. The results showed that treatment without organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer NPK 1.5 g per polybag can increase the growth of shallot crop.
