Abstract

This study aims for developing an animation audiovisual media product in Excretory System material which is valid, practical, and effective at Grade XI High School. This study uses a 4D model which consists of Define, Design, Develop, and Dissemnate stages. Subjects of this study were 10 students of SMA Srijaya Negara which included 5 students of XI IPA 2 class and 5 students of XI IPA 3 class, also 2 biology teachers. The collecting data technique consist of validity test and practicallity test on theory use a validation sheet that evaluated by validator expert and teachers, practicallity test by real practice uses a questionnare sheet on google form that filled by students, also effectivity test to measure increase in critical thinking skill by test in the field uses pretest-postest control group design test. Based on gathered data the result of validity tests for the final product was 4,84 in the very valid category based on the media and material aspect evaluation. The result of practicallity test on theory by validator expert and biology teachers was 96,8% and on the real practice by students was 98,2%. The result of effectivity test shows the average N-Gain result by the experimental group was 0,445 in moderate category and by the control group was 0,087 in low category so it states that the animation audiovisual media in Excretory System material is feasible to be used in learning because it has met the criteria of being valid, practice, and effective.
