Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between perspective taking with prejudice to polisi lalu lintas in among Universitas Sriwijaya’s Student. The hyphotesis of the study is that there is relationship betweenperspective taking with prejudice to polisi lalu lintas among Universitas Sriwijaya’s StudentThe population of this study was 25.711 Universitas Sriwijaya’s students. he sample of study was 343 people while there were 51 people as the participantfor the try out. This study was conducted with proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Study measurement instruments used prejudice scale basedon the component of prejudice stated by Aronson, Timothy, and Akert (2014), and the scale ini perspective taking refering to dimensions of perspctive taking by Williams (2012). This study used Pearson’s Product Moment correlation to analyze the data. The result showed that there is significant relationship between prejudice and perspective taking as proven by p-value = 0,000 (p<0,05 ; r= -0,669). Therefore, the proposed hypothesis is acceptable.
