Abstract

Kanker payudara adalah ketika saluran jaringan penunjang payudara dan kelenjar yang tumbuh dekstrutif dan infiltratif, serta dapat bermetastasis. Berdasarkan estimasi Globocan, International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) tahun 2018, kanker payudara adalah kanker dengan persentase kasus baru tertinggi (24,2%) dan persentase kematian tertinggi (6,6%) pada perempuan di dunia. Di Indonesia dengan persentase kasus baru tertinggi (30,9%) dan persentase kematian tertinggi (11%). Kanker payudara termasuk kanker yang paling sering didiagnosis pada wanita remaja dan dewasa muda usia <40 tahun. kanker payudara pada wanita muda memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan dalam faktor risiko, derajat klinis, prognosis serta karakteristik biologis tumor seperti halnya jenis histopatologi, subtipe, dan stadium dibandingkan dengan wanita berusia 36 tahun ke atas. Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kanker payudara pada usia muda di RSUP Mohammad Hoesin tahun 2018 – 2019.
