Abstract

Akne vulgaris merupakan penyakit peradangan kronik kelenjar pilosebasea pada remaja atau dewasa muda dan swasima usia 20-30 tahun. Akne vulgaris berdampak terhadap fisik dan psikologis penderita. Pengetahuan dan sikap yang kurang tentang akne vulgaris pada remaja dapat mempengaruhi kondisi penyakit. Tujuan: Mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap remaja terhadap akne vulgaris di SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan metode cross sectional. Subjek penelitian 295 murid SMA Negeri 10 Palembang tahun 2011. Data diambil menggunakan kuesioner, diolah dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil: Tingkat pengetahuan murid SMA Negeri 10 Palembang tentang akne vulgaris dikategorikan baik (11,5%), cukup (70,9%), kurang (17,6%), dan tidak didapatkan untuk kategori buruk. Sikap murid SMA Negeri 10 Palembang terhadap akne vulgaris dikategorikan baik (5,8%), cukup (54,9%), kurang (33,9%), dan buruk (5,4%). Kesimpulan: Tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap remaja di SMA Negeri 10 Palembang terhadap akne vulgaris dikategorikan cukup pada penelitian ini.
