Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aplikasi pupuk organik hayati dalam mengurangi penggunaan pupuk NPK anorganik dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat pada Ultisol. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kebun percobaan Budidaya Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya Inderalaya pada bulan Oktober 2010 sampai Juli 2011. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan pot dengan menggunakan 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu: Faktor I pupuk organik hayati (O) yang terdiri dari 5 taraf, yaitu: 0 (Oo); 2,5 (Oj); 5 (O2); 7,5 (O3) dan 10 (O4) ton ha"1. Faktor II pupuk NPK anorganik (A) yang terdiri 4 taraf, yaitu: 25% (Ao), 50% (Ai), 75%(A2) dan 100% (A3) dosis anjuran NPK anorganik. Data yang didapat diolah secara statistik dengan menghitung rata-rata nilai pada setiap kombinasi perlakuan dan analisis regresi korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan dosis pupuk organik hayati diikuti oleh peningkatan populasi bakteri, produksi tomat secara linier pada setiap taraf pupuk NPK anorganik. Peningkatan dosis pupuk organik hayati diikuti oleh peningkatan serapan N dan P tanaman secara linier dan kuadratik pada setiap taraf pupuk NPK anorganik
