Abstract

The concept of green building is present and becomes a necessity in the midst of the global warming phenomenon, the concept is considered as one of the solutions to reduce environmental damage. One thing that can be done is to carry out rating tools activities for offices referring to the green building concept. Rating tools are assessment instruments that are carried out to assess each building against the achievements obtained based on existing standards. Indonesia has a GREENSHIP standard that has been made by the Green Building Council Indonesia organization. In this study, the GREENSHIP standard will be used because the buildings being reviewed are located in the Indonesian region. GREENSHIP existing building is an assessment instrument that measures the criteria of green building in buildings that have been operating for at least one year after the building is completed. The focus of this research is the implementation of Water Conservation carried out by the contractor based on the GREENSHIP Existing Building standard. Literature study in this study was conducted by reading journals, e-books, and websites related to research, namely green building, GBCI, GREENSHIP, and water conservation. The results of this study indicate that this contractor's office building does not meet the water conservation category based on the standards of the GREENSHIP Existing Building. socialization of water conservation, laboratory testing of primary water sources, manufacture of clean water recycling systems, manufacture of independent drinking water treatment systems, and replacement of manual faucets with auto stop faucets.
