Abstract

Data statistik pada tahun 2019 menunjukan bahwa jumlah sampah konsumsi indonesia mencapai 175.000 ton perhari.Permasalahan sampah rumah tangga di kota Pagar Alam cukup besar mencapai 40 ton per hari yang dihasilkan dari 165.000 penduduk. Hal tersebut mengingat bahwa perilaku manusia merupakan penyebab paling besar terhadap kerusakan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Mengetahui perilaku masyarakat di Desa Simpang Padang Karet dalam mengelola sampah rumah tangga.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Informasi diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan telaah dokumen.Informan kunci penelitian adalah Kepala DLH Kota Pagar Alam dan Ketua RT Desa Simpang Padang Karet dan Informan Biasa adalah Masyarakat Desa Simpang Padang Karet.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada indikator pengetahuan dalam pemilahan sampah rumah tangga dua informan yang mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan pemilahan sampah sedangkan yang lainnya mengatakan tidak terlalu sulit. Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang jenis sampah masih dapat dikatakan kurang tahu mengenai memilah sampah berdasarkan jenisnya.Pada indikator sikap yang dilahat dari tempat pembuangan sampah rumah tangga dari pemisahan sampah yang mudah membusuk dan yang tidak mudah membusuk diketahui bahwa semua informan tidak melakukan pemisahan sampah yang mudah membusuk dengan yang tidak membusuk. Dilahat dari pembakaran sampah bahwa masyarakat Desa Simpang Padang Karet rata-rata melakukan pembakaran sampahyang melatarbelakangi masyarakat melakukan itu karena tidak adanya sarana dan prasarana untuk membuang sampah. Tindakan masyarakat Desa Simpang Padang Karet akan melakukan pengelolaan terlebih dahulu sampah-sampah rumah tangga, mengurangi penggunaan sampah plastik, serta membawa tas belanja sendiri padaa saat ingin belanja.Hasil penelitian diharpakan dapat menjadi landasan agar mengalokasikan anggaran untuk pengadaan sarana dan prasarana pengelolaan sampah. Selain itu, edukasi pengelolaan sampah kepada masyarakat juga perlu ditingkatkan. The problem of household waste in the town of Pagar Alam is quite large at 40 tons a day resulting from 165,000 residents. That is considering that human behavior represents the most cause of environmental damage. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to Know the behavior of the community in Simpang Padang Karet Village in managing household waste. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. Information is obtained through in-depth interviews, observations and aaah of documents. The key informants of the study are the Head of DLH Pagar Alam City and the Head of RT of Simpang Padang Karet Village and Ordinary Informants are the Community of Simpang Padang Karet Village. The results showed that on the indicator of knowledge in the sorting of household waste two informants who had difficulty in sorting waste while others said it was not too difficult. Public knowledge about the type of waste can still be said to know less about sorting waste based on its type.On the indicator of attitudes that are removed from household landfills from the separation of garbage that is easy to rot and which is not easy to rot it is known that all informants do not do the separation of easily decomposed garbage with non-rotting. It is from burning garbage that the people of Simpang Padang Karet Village on average do the burning of garbage behind the community doing it because there is no means and infrastructure to dispose of garbage.The actions of the people of Simpang Padang Karet Village will first manage household waste, reduce the use of plastic waste, and bring their own shopping bags when they want to shop. The results of the study are expected to be the basis for allocating budgets for the procurement of waste management facilities and infrastructure. In addition, waste management education to the community also needs to be improved.
