Abstract

The purpose of this research were (1) To describe the comparison of the success rate of farming patterns developed by local and migrants farmers concerning about cultivation area and cropping patterns, and (2) To analyz the differences in income between local and migrant Farmers in Mulyaguna and Buluh Cawang villages, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This research was conducted in two villages, in Mulyaguna Village, Teluk Gelam Sub-District and Buluh Cawang Kayu Agung Sub-District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, Site selection was done porposively. Data collection was carried out in August until October 2018. The average farming pattern income of local farmers is Rp. 2,414.789,2 (Rp/ha). While the average vegetable income of migrant farmers is Rp.3.965.517,8 (Rp/ha). The average income of local Lebak farmers is Rp. 8,273.646,6 (Rp/mt). While the average income of migrant rice farmers is Rp. 9,733.416,7(Rp/mt). There is no significant difference between the income of local farmers in Buluh Cawang and Migrant Farmers in Mulyaguna Village, not only for vegetables not also for rice farming.
