Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis is one of the main public health problems in Indonesia. In 2016, Pulmonary TB cases in Indonesia reached 351,893 cases, in 2017 reaching 425,089 cases, and in 2018 it reached 566,623 cases. Factors that can affect the occurrence of pulmonary TB disease are ventilation, natural lighting, humidity, room temperature, type of floor, and density of house occupancy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the physical environment and the incidence of pulmonary TB in Indonesia. This research was conducted using the literature review method and using the PubMed, National Library, DOAJ, Garuda, and Google Scholar databases to search for articles according to published topics from 2015 to 2020 with research locations in Indonesia. The articles obtained were then screened and assessed for article quality using the guidelines of The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal Tool For Use in JBI Systematic Review conducted by researcher, then extracted into a table and synthesized data into a table of analysis techniques descriptive. The results of this study obtained a total of 8657 articles, after screening, 43 articles were entered to be assessed for quality. Then obtained 21 final articles that deserve to be analyzed. From the 21 articles, 14 of them examined the relationship between natural lighting and the incidence of pulmonary TB in Indonesia and there were 11 articles (78.57%) which showed a statistical relationship. In conclusion, natural lighting is the physical environmental factor of the house that is most often proven to affect the incidence of pulmonary TB in Indonesia. Keyword : environmental, house, density, ventilation, humidity, lighting, pulmonary TB, Indonesia.
