Abstract
Refill drinking water depot is a necessity for the community however, not all refill drinking water depots meet health requirements. This study aims to analyze the hygiene and sanitation of water depots drink refills in Sukarami District, Palembang City, namely the place variable, variables of production equipment, handler hygiene and tub water sources. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This research using the observation sheet method from the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 43 years old 2014 and in-depth interviews. The analysis was carried out by triangulation method, source triangulation and data triangulation. The sample is 14 depots with Informants research which amounted to 28 people. The results showed that there were 2 Depots that have not met the physical fitness requirements with a total score that is obtained is 58, and 12 depots that have met the requirements with the total score obtained at the refill drinking water depot is 71 - 92. Can concluded that there are still several variables that need to be considered are the variables of the aspect of the condition of the place, the hygiene aspect of the handlers and some of the variable aspects of raw water sources. Research advice should be the owner of the depot improve the quality of hygiene and sanitation with assistance from the service health to carry out monitoring related to sanitation hygiene with support local health authorities so as to provide healthy benefits for depots andconsumer.
