Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding coverage at the Talang Aur Health Center is only 41% in 2021, which is still below the average coverage for South Sumatra Province and Ogan Ilir Regency. The existence of the exclusive breastfeeding policy is considered not optimal in its implementation. This study aims to analyze the management of information and education services on exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the Talang Aur Public Health Center, Indralaya District. This study uses a qualitative method with in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The research informants consisted of 19 people, of which 9 health workers, 5 mothers who had toddlers 0-11 months, and 5 village cadres. research results show the application of PP no. 33 of 2012 (Information and education) the provision of exclusive breastfeeding such as (HR, Funds, Facilities and Infrastructure, Planning, Organization, Implementation, and Supervision) in the working area of the Talang Aur Health Center has not been maximized in several respects, such as (facilities and infrastructure, planning, lack of routine supervision) to support activities because it is still not in accordance with existing standards. The conclusion of the study is that the implementation of policies for information and education on exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the Talang Aur Health Center has not been maximized in several respects. Suggestions in this study are the Talang Aur Health Center in coordination with the Health Office of Ogan ilir Regency to be able to optimize training for human resources, optimize facilities and infrastructure to support activities such as providing a special room for counseling activities and also providing refrigerators for breast milk, optimizing activities regular supervision
