Abstract

This study aims to develop a product of science-based game water filter equipment for children aged 5-6 years in TKIT Menara Fitrah Indralaya. This research was conducted with the subject of research of children aged 5-6 years TKIT Menara Fitrah Indralaya and the object of research in the form of game water filter device. The development of this water filter device uses a combination of Rowntree's development model and Tessmer evaluation. Rowntree development model consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, development stage and evaluation phase. In the evaluation phase, formative evaluation proposed by Tessmer consists of four stages, namely self evaluation stage, expert review, one-to-one, small group evaluation . techniques for collecting the data used walkhtrough and observation. The result of the expert review obtained the average score of the validation of the material expert's validation is 3.7 with the very valid category consisting of the subject matter, the supporting information, the appearance and the additional material and for the validity of the media are 3.8 highly valid categories that have met the educative, technical, and aesthetic. Thus the product has validity of 3.75 with very valid category. The one-to-one stage obtained an average child observation with a water filter game tool of 87% (excellent category). Small group evaluation stage showed average observation of game water filter tool 91% (very good category). So for the practicality level of one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation it is very practical to be seen from the convenience of the child using the game of water filtering tool in science learning. Thus, the product in the form of a water filter game tool is very valid and practical so that it can be used in science learning in PAUD institutions.
