Abstract

The number of arrears of BPJS contributions for the PBPU group in Kepahiang sub-district is high at 43% of the total arrears in Kepahiang Regency. This study aims to determine the factors associated with arrears in paying the contributions of JKN participants in the PBPU segment in Kepahiang subdistrict in 2022. Quantitative method with a sample of 115 people, using a cross sectional design with purposive sampling technique and using univariate and bivariate (chi square) analysis. The results of bivariate analysis show that there is a relationship between the number of family members, income, education, and an increase in contributions. However, there is no relationship between the variables of knowledge, distance to the place of payment of contributions, distance to health facilities, role of officers, motivation, and availability of health facilities with arrears in paying contributions. It can be concluded that the determinants of arrears in paying JKN contributions for the PBPU segment in Kepahiang subdistrict in 2022 include the number of family members, income, education, and increased contributions. Suggestion from this research are that the local government is expected to provide training to add skills than can increase community creativity, so that it can be used as an effort to earn additional income, such as knitting or weaving skills.
