Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment berperan penting bagi perekonomian di suatu negara yang menjadi sumber aliran modal yang stabil. Aliran modal investasi asing langsung dipengaruhi oleh faktor ketidakpastian makroekonomi. Faktor ketidakpastian makroekonomi tersebut adalah GDP, nilai tukar, inflasi, dan korupsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ketidakpastian makroekonomi terhadap foreign direct investment pada negara emerging market Asia. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder, yang terdiri dari data time series dan cross section. Data time series dalam penelitian ini memiliki rentan waktu 21 tahun dari tahun 2000-2020 dan data cross section pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 negara emerging market Asia yaitu Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand dan Philipina. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah generalized autoregressive conditional heterosdekasticity (GARCH). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel makroekonomi yang terdiri dari Gross domestic product (GDP), inflasi, nilai tukar, dan korupsi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada negara emerging market Asia. Akan tetapi pada variabel inflasi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap foreign direct investment pada negara emerging market Asia.
