Abstract

Sweden pays attention to gender equality through its Sweden’s feminist foreign policy. Sweden as the first feminist country has a goal to spread feminist values and ideology in order to create global peace and justice. This research aims to answer and provide explanation of Sweden’s efforts to promote gender equality through Sweden’s feminist foreign policy in 2014-2019. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive with secondary data as a source of data. The data collection technique used is through the study of relevant literature such as scientific journals, books, news and websites, and official Swedish government documents. This research is examined using the concept of Sweden’s feminist foreign policy. The results showed that Sweden has been actively promoting gender equality through feminist foreign policy. This promotion is carried out with various approaches such as collaborating bilaterally, multilaterally, regionally, and with organizations, becoming a donor country for the advancement of gender equality, and conducting campaigns to increase public awareness about the importance of women's roles in all fields.
