Abstract

This research is entitled "Community Participation in the Development of Dance Studios for Balinese Hindu Community in Air Talas Village, Rambang Niru District, Muara Enim Regency". The problem of this research is about the form of community participation and the process behind community participation in the development of dance studios. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. In determining the informants using the purposive model. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. This research uses Wilcox's theory in Totok about participation. The results of this study indicate that there are two results of participation, namely the process of participation and the forms of participation that exist in the community where community participation plays an important role for the development of dance studios.
