Abstract

This study aims to obtain land suitability data for pineapple plant, evaluate the level of land suitability and identify limiting factors that affect land suitability for pineapple plants in Anak Petai Village, North Prabumulih District, Prabumulih City. This research was conducted in November – Desember 2021. The analysis of chemical properties done in Laboratory of Chemical, Biology and Soil Fertility, for analysis of physics properties done in Laboratory of Physics and Conservation, Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research is a survey method at the level of detail with the help of a base map with a scale 1:2000. The research study area is 5 ha. Determination of the sampling location use the grid method. The sample points are 10 points where each sample point represents ±0,5 ha. Soil samples were taken by drilling as deep as 100 cm which at each point the sample was taken compositely. The result of this study are sample points 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 10 have limiting factors in the form of Temperature, Water Availability, pH, and K2O, sample points 4 have limiting factors in the form of temperature, water availability, C-Organic, pH, N- Total and K2O, sample point 5 have limiting factors in the form of Temperature, Water Availability, C-Organic and P2O5, Sample points 9 have limiting factors in the form of temperature, water availability and pH. The actual land suitability for pineapple plants at the research site is points 1, 2, 6 and 8 S3-twfn, points 3, 7 and 10 S2-twfn, point 4 S2-twfn, point 5 S3-twfn and point 9 S2-twf. Potential land suitability at the research site is S2-t. Keywords : Land Evaluation, Land Suitability, Pineapple plant
