Abstract

The Health Protocol is one of the ways to prevent COVID-19 disease which consists of several phases of prevention, face detection, and face response. In Palembang City as of October 25, 2021, there were 30,374 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1,182 deaths, 29,170 recovered cases, and 52,162 suspected cases. During the new normal period, the government issued preventive measures, namely the 5M movement to tackle COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to compliance with the 5M health protocol on Sriwijaya University lecturers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional design with Chi Square test statistical analysis. The sample in this study amounted to 132 samples selected using the simple random sampling method by taking each stratum proportionally. The sample studied must meet the inclusion criteria and be willing to fill out an online questionnaire (google form). The results showed that the Sriwijaya University lecturers who had complied with the implementation of the 5M health protocol were quite good, as many as 70 respondents (53%). Variables related to adherence to the 5M health protocol at Sriwijaya University lecturers were Gender (p-value 0.023 < 0.05), Attitude variable (p-value 0.000 <0.05) and Availability of Health Facilities and Facilities (p-value 0.05). value 0.001 < 0.05).
