Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kritik sosial masalah pendidikan, bentuk kritik sosial masalah ekonomi, bentuk kritik sosial masalah sosial, dan bentuk kritik sosial masalah politik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deksriptif kualitatif dan dianalisis menggunakan teori sosiologi sastra Alan Swingewood. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data tertulis dan berfokus pada 20 subjudul novel Orang-Orang Biasa karya Andrea Hirata yang mengandung kritik sosial. Data diperoleh dari novel Orang-Orang Biasa karya Andrea Hirata. Teknik analisis data yaitu mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi, menginterprestasi, menganalisis, dan menyimpulkan kritik sosial yang didapat dalam novel Orang-Orang Biasa karya Andrea Hirata. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pendekatan sosiologi sastra Alan Swingewood.
