Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fear of negative evaluation dengan kepercayaan diri pada remaja pria pengguna skincare. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara fear of negative evaluation dengan kepercayaan diri. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah 150 remaja pria pengguna skincare di Indonesia. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat ukut yang digunakan yakni skala kepercayaan diri yang mengacu pada ciri-ciri kepercayaan diri dari Angelis (Wardani, 2018), dan skala fear of negative evaluation memodifikasi skala baku a brief fear of negative evaluation dari Leary (1983). Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa fear of negative evaluation dan kepercayaan diri menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 (p < 0,05) dengan nilai r = - 0,269 yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara kedua variabel. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajaukan dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima.
