Abstract

This geological assessment is carried out to identify the potential hazards of landslides in the surrounding area and efforts to overcome them. This research is focused on Keban Agung and its surroundings, Kikim Selatan District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province. This was done because landslides had occurred in the Keban Agung area. The method used is the Analytical Hierarchy Process or often referred to as the AHP method, this method uses parameters that affect the hazard of landslides. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors that cause landslide hazardsand mitigation efforts, the factors that cause landslide hazards, namely data on slope, rainfall, soil types, land use, and geological conditions. Then do the calculation of the weight of each parameter that causes landslides using the AHP method and the magnitude of the influence of each parameter on the landslide event so that efforts can be taken to overcome it. The results of the calculation are obtained the weight of each parameter that causes landslide hazards in view of the intensity value of 5 strength of importance according to Saaty (1990). These five factors were chosen because of their strong influence in causing landslides, the five factors are lithology, rainfall, slope, landuse and the last is elevation. Based on the results of the analysis of landslide potentialin the study area, there are 5 landslide hazard categories, namely, not dangerous, quite dangerous, dangerous, and very dangerous.
