Abstract

This research is entitled "Empowerment of Housewives in Sematang Borang through the Madani Mekkar National Capital Program". Madani Mekkar's National Capital Empowerment Program is an empowerment program targeting women. Madani Mekkar's National Capital is present as a solution for productive women. The purpose of the Madani Mekkar National Capital program is to empower productive housewives who want to start a business or develop a business in Sematang Borang District. Then the relevant problem in this research is regarding the process of the Madani Mekkar National Capital empowerment program for housewives and obstacles in empowerment in Sematang Borang District. This study uses the empowerment theory of Eddy Papilaya (in Zubaedi: 2013) as a reference in analyzing the empowerment process of the Madani Mekkar National Capital program in empowering housewives in Sematang Borang and obstacles in empowerment. Processing data from 8 informants. The results of this study stated that the process of empowering housewives through various programs such as school programs, financing and savings programs. This study uses a qualitative method. Sources of data in this study in the form of primary data and secondary data through data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation.
