Abstract

Salah satu faktor penyebab tingginya angka kejadian diare adalah masih rendahnya pemberian ASI terutama pada enam bulan pertama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan frekuensi defekasi dan lama diare pada bayi usia 2-24 bulan antara yang diberi ASI dan pengganti ASI di Puskesmas Gandus Palembang. Penelitian cross sectional analitik dilakukan dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 20 dengan uji statistik Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan dari 53 sampel terdapat 34 bayi (64,2%) yang diberi ASI dan 19 bayi (35,8%) yang diberi pengganti ASI. Terdapat perbedaan rerata frekuensi defekasi saat diare pada bayi yang diberi ASI (4,76 ;Ll,46 kali per hari) dan bayi yang diberi pengganti ASI (7,37 + 2,43 kali per hari) dengan nilai p 0,000 (p <0.05).Penelitian menyimpulkan bayi yang diberi pengganti ASI menderita diare yang lebih lama dan frekuensi defekasi yang lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan bayi yang diberi ASI.
