Abstract

Social interaction is the main condition for the occurrence of social activities between people. Interaction is also useful for studying and studying many problems that exist in social life. This study aims to determine the form of interaction that occurs between the Jama'ah of the Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Institute (LDII) and the surrounding community in Sidorejo Village, Pagar Alam District, South Pagar Alam City, South Sumatra Province. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Determination of informants using purposive techniques. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the interaction carried out between LDII Jama'ah and the community in Sidorejo Village is divided into two forms, namely the first associative form in the form of cooperation such as commemoration activities for big days, weddings and recitations. Both accommodations are in the form of mutual respect for each other's customs, norms, customs. The three assimilations are to have a high tolerance for each other. Meanwhile, in the form of dissociation in the form of differences of opinion in understanding and religious meaning but not to the point of causing conflict between the two.
