Abstract
Aims: An estimated 20-25% of world population has form of dermatophytoses. It is a fungal disease infecting hair, skin & nails. In most of the cases, it does not produce any symptoms. As a tropical State which has high temperatur e and humidity, Indonesia hecame fertile ground of fungal growth. Objective: to know the occurance rate of dermatophytoses spreading its based on age, sex, educational level, occupation and type of dermatophytosis in RSUP. Moh Hoesin Palembang 2009-2011 Methods: retrospective descriptive study, using data on the patient's medical record in IKKK Dr Moh. Hoesin years 2009-2011. Results: in present study, the occurance rate of dermatophytoses during the years 2009-2011 respectively 5.2%, 3.4% and 4.1%, males are infected 53% more than females. Tinea corporis 181(40,1%) at 2009 and 105(38,7%) at 2011 were the commonest clinical type, then T. cruris 140(45,8%) at 2010, dermatophytosis infected much about the age group of46-56years 274 (26.6%). Conclusion : Based on these results the occurance rate of dermatophytoses tend to decrease. Male have higher fungal infection than females, its affected the age group 46-56 years. Dermatophytoses types most commonly found is T. corporis and T. kruris.
