Abstract

This study aims was to determine the emotional maturity of students caring by single parents in the North Indralaya 2nd high school. This research was a quantitative approach with descriptive method. Population of 32 students and a sample of 20 students selected by purposive sampling technique. Instrument for collecting data was a Psychological scale. Data were analyzed in percentage. The results of this study indicated that the emotional maturity of students who were caring by single parents in the moderate category (57%). It meant that students who cared single parents have the ability to control emotions, self-sufficient, and adapt, as well as the ability to accept reality and have the ability to establish social relationships. With the emotional maturity, individual can acted properly and reasonably.
