Abstract

Introduction: Hipertension has been reported to occur in 85% to 95% of patients with chronic renal disease (stage 3-5), Hipertension and chronic renal disease is related to each other. Uncontrolled hipertension is a risk factor for developing chronic renal disease and can accelerate the occurrence end stage renal disease. Meanwhile, progressive kidney disease can exacerbate uncontrolled hipertension due to volume expansion and increased systemic vascular resistance. Multiple guidelines discuss the importance of lowering blood pressure to slow the progression of renal disease and reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Base on that, research on the control blood pressure in patient wiht chronic renal disease who do hemodialysis needs to be done to get the number of patients whose uncontrolled blood pressure with the risk factor that influence it. The research objective was to identify the number of patient whose blood pressure controlled and uncontrolled. Methods: This research is descriptif study using primary and secondary data on hemodialysis inslallation RS Mohammad Hoesin Palembang in November 2012. Inclusion criteria on this research were patients undergoing hemodialysis for three months to November 2012t meaning that patients who had started hemodialysis in September including exclusion criteria and patient who had complete blood pressure examination data. Result: Of 189 CKD who undergoing hemodialysis in RS Mohammad Hoesin Palembang in November 2012, found 69 patients were included inclusion criteria. Of 69 patients, only 12 patients (17%) had controlled blood pressure, while 57 patients (83%) had uncontrolled blood pressure. Conclusion: Of 69 patients CKD being sampled only 12 patients whose blood pressure under control. It is necessary for a better control of the blood pressure control in hemodialysis patients in order to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
