Abstract

Obesitas adalah penimbunan lemak tubuh yang berlebihan. Obesitas menyebabkan berbagai penyakit, salah satunya yaitu Sindrom Ovarium Polikistik (SOPK). SOPK merupakan salah satu gangguan endokrin terbanyak pada wanita. SOPK menyebabkan 5-10% wanita usia reproduktif menjadi infertil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui risiko obesitas terhadap sindroma ovarium polikistik di rumah sakit ibu dan anak widiyanti kota Palembang periode 2009-2011. Penelitian ini dilakukan berupa penelitian analitik kasus kontrol dengan menggunakan Chi-Square. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data primer dan sekunder dari rekam medik penderita sindroma ovarium polikistik di rumah sakit ibu dan anak widiyanti kota Palembang periode 2009- 2011. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh pasien berobat jalan di rumah sakit ibu dan anak widiyanti periode 2009- 2011, sedangkan sampel kasus penelitian adalah seluruh pasien penderita sindroma ovarium polikistik dan sampel kontrol penelitian adalah bukan pasien sindroma ovarium polikistik. Data-data yang diperoleh disajikan dalam bentuk tabel-tabel dengan disertai pernyataan-pernyataan analitik. Hasil: Dari hasil penelitian didapatjumlah sampel sebanyak 16 pasien, kelompok kasus terbanyak terdapat pada obesitas yaitu 24 orang (63,16 %) dan bukan obesitas yaitu 14 orang (36,84%).Kelompok kontrol terbanyak terdapat pada bukan obesitas yaitu 31 orang (81,58 %) dan obesitas yaitu 7 orang (18,42%) (95% Confidence Interval (Cl) 2,651- 21,743, Odds Ratio (OR) 7,592). Dapat disimpulkan ada hubungan antara obesitas dengan sindrom ovarium polikistik ( P < 0,05). Kata kunci: Sindroma Ovarium Polikistik, obesitas
