Abstract
The hospital is a health service facility that can be a place for disease transmission and health problems. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the hospital environment is very at risk for Covid-19 transmission (especially in referral hospitals for Covid19 patients). Sanitation is very important to protect human health during outbreaks of infectious diseases, including the COVID-19 outbreak. The study aims to analyze the environmental sanitation conditions of the Ogan Ilir Hospital in 2021 in the context of Covid-19 prevention preparedness. The method uses a qualitative descriptive design. Information was collected through in-depth interviews using interview guidelines, field observations using checklist forms and photovoices using cameras and recorders to capture research activities, as well as reviewing hospital sanitation archive documents compared with Permenkes. Informants in this study amounted to 13 informants. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis. Validity test through triangulation of sources, methods and data. The results showed that in an effort to improve air quality, there was no monitoring of the quality of both outdoor and indoor air. The quality of the water used still does not meet all the requirements. There are no hand dryers and instructions for the location of hand washing facilities, no hands zanitaizer is available in hard-to-reach places. There is no separation between dirty linen and clean linen. The use of PPE at the Ogan Ilir Hospital has been implemented. Decontamination is carried out in all areas on a regular basis. In order to be prepared, the Ogan Ilir Hospital prepares facilities and infrastructure, human resources, forms a special team for the PPI committee, provides screening soup, prepares a special emergency room for COVID-19 patients separately from ordinary patients. Suggestions for this research, so that the hospital accelerates the improvement of the quality of the water used and monitors the air quality both indoors and outdoors.
