Abstract

The purpose of this research are to 1) describe the characterstics of farmers and pattern of rice and rice-fish in Sirah Pulau Padang Sub-district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency 2) analyzed the differences in income of rice and rice-fish farming in Sirah Pulau Padang Subdistrict Ogan Komering Ilir Regency 3) calculate the differences of costs used in rice and rice-fish farming in Sirah Pulau Padang Sub-district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This research has been conducted in Awal Terusan dan Mangun Jaya village, Sirah Pulau Padang Sub-district, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Determination of this location was conducted intentionally (purposive). The method of reseacrh used to method survey, with the sampling method was dispropotionated stratified random sampling. Data collection was conducted in January 2018 by using study case method. The result of this research shows that there are differences of characteristics of farmers and pattern of rice and rice-fish business. There was no significant difference income between rice and rice-fish farming, with value of rice farming is Idr. 6,805,200/lg/year and rice-fish farming Idr 8,094.244/lg/year. The average value of B/C rice farming was 1.71 more bigger than B/C rice-fish farming with a value of 0.73.
