Abstract

The antepartum bleeding is bleeding baby bom after 28 weeks gestation or classified in the third trimester bleeding caused by placenta previa, placenta Solutions, and other causes. Antepartum hemorrhage contribute to maternal and perinatal mortality in both the developing and developed countries. In Indonesia, antepartum bleeding is one of the most important causes bleeding into maternal mortality (40-60%). To know the proportion of cases of antepartum hemorrhage caused by placenta previa and to analyze factors associated with placenta previa in general Hospital of Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period 1 January 2010-31 December 2011. This study is an observational study with cross sectional analytic. The sample obtained through total sampling method which all patients with antepartum haemorrhage in General Hospital of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang during the years 2010-2011 serve as research subjects. The data were obtained from patient records medic. Over 200 subjects who obtained 185 cases of antepartum hemorrhage due to placenta previa (92.5%), 111 people aged 20-35 years (60%). In general, has the status of multigravida 129 cases (69,7%), multiparous 80 cases (43,2%), with a distance of < 2 years labor 70 cases (37,8%). The majority of nutritional status in terms of normal Hb 85 people (45.9%). Most do not have a history of antepartum bleeding before that, 181 cases (97.8%). During the period 2010-2011 there are 200 cases of antepartum haemorrhage (3.12%) and 185 of these cases caused by placenta previa (92.5%) and 20-35 years aged who have status and multiparous multigravida and distance delivery < 2 years with an average nutritional status of overweight and normal hemoglobin levels. And there is no previous history of antepartum bleeding.
