Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of workload and compensation on the performance of auditors at the Audit Board of Republic of Indonesia representative of South Sumatra Province. In this research, the number of samples was 100 respondents from the Audit Board of Republic of Indonesia representative of South Sumatra Province. The statistical analysis tool used in this research is multiple linear regression using analysis media in the form of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) IBM series 22 program. The results of this research show: (1) Workload has a positive and significant effect on the Auditors performance at The Audit Board of Republic of Indonesia representative of South Sumatra Province; (2) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on the Auditors performance at The Audit Board of Republic of Indonesia representative of South Sumatra Province. The workload given by the institution can be done quickly and on time because the Auditor always tries and is ready to complete all his duties and responsibilities. To improve performance, it is necessary to increase the number of examiners in accordance with the position map and workload, and it is necessary to add incentives that can support employees in maximizing target achievement.
