Abstract
Musculoskeletal Disorders can be said to be a pathological problem that can destroy the soft tissue system caused by activities carried out repeatedly for a long period of time due to repetitive activities on the body. Where risk factors such as work duration, workload, repetitive movements, and work postures are factors that cause complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders. Therefore, this study aims to determine the occupational risk factors that affect the complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders in female daily farmers in Jarai District,Lahat. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach using the method of observation, in-depth interviews. The population in this study were 6 daily farmers and 2 rice field owners. The data collection technique is purposive sampling. The validity of the data using triangulation of sources, methods and data. And presented in the form of tables and narratives to interpret the data. The results show that the risk factors that influence complaints of musculoskeletal disorders based on the characteristics of the informants, the data from the Nordic Body Map found that daily farmers including 1 informant experienced mild complaints, 4 informants moderate complaints and 1 informant severe complaints. The daily weight of the farmer for each work is 3 kg and the heavy load ranges from 10-50 kg. The daily work duration of farmers is 4 to 8 hours. Based on the results of the analysis of the posture of planting rice has a moderate level of risk and posture of grazing, harvesting rice and drying rice has a high level of risk. Repeated movements each work for 4 hours and as much as 5 seconds in 1 minute repetition, so it is said to be in the moderate category. Based on MSDs complaints regarding the level of MSDs complaints, obtained at the level of no pain the largest percentage is 66.7% in the left elbow, the score in the mildly ill category is 83.3% in the upper neck, the score in the pain category is the largest percentage 83, 3% on the left upper arm, and the score in the very sick category is the largest with a value of 16.7% each, namely in the lower neck, left shoulder, right shoulder, waist, left wrist, left hand, left thigh and left leg. . It can be concluded that heavy loads, repetitive movements and work postures affect the complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders. Suggestions for this research are that farmers should reduce their workload with assistive devices, pay attention to the duration of work per day of no more than 8 hours, make changes to risky work positions, stretch their hands for 30 seconds, and know the risk factors that affect complaints of musculoskeletal disorders.
