Abstract
It has been successfully prepared molecularly printed polymer (MIP) Carbarylby using cooling-heating method. A template (Carbaryl) is introduced into apolymerization solution containing a functional methacrylic acid (MAA) monomer, across-linker of ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA), and an initiator (benzoylperoxide) and then agitated for 15 minutes to homogenously mix. The prepolymerizationsolution was cooled for 60 minutes in a refrigerator to -5 ° C then heatedin the furnace for 480 minutes. Finally, the polymer product is crushed in powder form, then extraction process using a solvent such as acetonitrile 8,5mL, methanol / aceticacid 0,625mL / 12,5lmL, methanol / aquabidest 6,375mL /12,5mL and methanol 3mL.The extraction process is carried out to remove the carbaril templates to produce acavity that serves to recognize molecules of the size, structure and physical properties ofchemistry similar to the nature of the template used. To know the group of compoundscontained in the polymer, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) characterization showsthat there are elements of N-H and C-H is a typical bond of amine group which is afunctional group of carbaryl. In addition, to see the number of cavities in the polymerScanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) characterization and further analyzed in thecalculation using poredisc software, the cavity obtained is as much as 471 cavities.
